A sharps container for needles and razors, and a biomedical waste trash will be provided to each booth.
Portable sinks will be provided throughout the convention floor for and washing and emergency purposes.
We will provide release form/paperwork to be given to client. These forms will be collected at the end of each night or tuned into Liseth.
The biomedical waste disposal company will pick up trash at your booth.
Every artist is required to complete inspection.
The health department will be conduction inspections Thursday September 28 and Friday September 29. Times will be updated here and announced on IG as soon as we get confirmation. Every artist must complete this inspection in order to tattoo at the convention. Inspections will consist of but are not limited to:
Checking license
Checking ink for expiration date
Checking needles for expiration date and proper sterilization
A mock set up of your tattooing process
Tuberculocidal disinfectant used
Anticeptic solution used
Neddlestick Injury
In the event of a needle stick injury wash punctured site with running water for 15 minutes. Then seek medical attentions. Antiretroviral medication can be used to minimize possible infection if given soon after incident.
Biomedical waste spill
In the event of a spill block of area always wear gloves while cleaning. Absorb as much of the spill with paper towel. Dispose of anything used into biomedical waste receptacle. Apply tuberculocidal disinfectant following the manufacturer's instruction. Every brand works differently and will require different time before cleaning. Clean away remaining product and dispose of anything used while cleaning into biomedical waste.
Handwashing
Hand washing is required before putting gloves on, when taking gloves off, any time there is an interruption in the tattoo, and while disinfecting. Avoid bare handed contact with clients. Using a paper towel to turn off faucet after washing hands will help prevent any cross contamination.
What to bring
Any materials used for the tattooing process. Freak factory tattoo supplies will be selling supplies at the convention if needed or for those wishing to travel with less supplies.
Any equipment used for tattooing which include but not limited to machine, barriers, cleaning solutions, beds, lighting, tray, etc must be brought with you. Trays, beds, and lighting is available for weekend rental from Waldo Tattoo Supply and will be delivered straight to the convention center. There are limited quantities, reserve ahead if needed.
Aftercare instructions for your client. Florida requires them you give them written instructions.

If you have any question please reach out before September 28. The health department will not be accepting applications for tattoo artist licenses at the convention. You must have the license printed on hand for your health inspection. If you don't have your license you will not pass inspection. If you do not pass inspection the Florida Department of Health will not allow you to tattoo.
